The Norfolk Mead is a beautiful country house north of Norwich, with individually appointed rooms, a restaurant with 2 AA rosettes, and treatment rooms. Their ‘overnight indulgence package’ consists of a Deluxe Room, two course dinner, breakfast, and a 60 minute Aromassage or facial for two guests, priced at £295.00. In addition, they also offer freshly prepared picnic hampers for you to take out as you explore the romantic Norfolk countryside.
As this blog goes live, the absolutely beautiful gem that is Gothic House’s double room is still available on the night of the 14th. Right in the centre of Norwich – just slightly back from the daily bustle of Magdalen Street – this B&B offers a charming, well hidden bolt hole ideally located for a Valentine’s escape in the city. The room is gorgeous, and comes complete with Molton Brown toiletries, fluffy bathrobes and slippers.
Just out of Norwich is the grand Sprowston Manor Mariott Hotel and County Club, complete with spa, pool, restaurant and acres of golf course. They have put together a luxurious Valentine’s day package for £249.00 per couple, offering a night in one of their sumptuous rooms, prosecco, a three course dinner and full use of all their leisure facilities. You won’t need to go anywhere else!
In the picturesque town of Holt in North Norfolk, Byfords offers a cosy ‘posh B&B’ for you to hideaway this Valentine’s. The rooms are beautifully and warmly decorated with everything you can imagine for a perfect retreat in the country, and the food in their café downstairs is incredible (their breakfast looks pretty special indeed…).

Greater Anglia has Advance fares from £10 one way between London Liverpool Street and Norwich. Trains run every 30 minutes. Greater Anglia also serves Colchester, Ipswich and Diss on the Norwich line. Direct trains also run from Cambridge.
East Midlands Trains runs services from Liverpool, Manchester and Nottingham.
