Norwich is a romantic city. It just can’t help it.

Its cobbled streets wind through beautiful storybook buildings, which are themselves punctuated by cosy pubs, leafy gardens, a meandering river and cute places to walk a dog if you can get your hands on one.

There are also loads of places to stay with the person that you love, if Valentine’s day offers a rare opportunity to spend some time alone together, or just stay somewhere special for the night. Greater Anglia has Advance fares from £10 one way between London Liverpool Street and Norwich. Trains run every 30 minutes. Greater Anglia also serves Colchester, Ipswich and Diss on the Norwich line. Direct trains also run from Cambridge.

East Midlands Trains runs services from Liverpool, Manchester and Nottingham.

Flights into Norwich served from Edinburgh, Manchester, Exeter, Aberdeen, Jersey*, Guernsey* and Amsterdam.
