After the excitement of Christmas and New Year – and unless your birthday is in January or February, it can feel like there isn’t a great deal to look forward to for the rest of the winter season.

NOT SO, READERS.

From the 20th – 24th of February the Great British Beer Festival Winter will be coming to Norwich. The City of Stories - in partnership with CAMRA - is offering you the chance to visit the festival for free!  One lucky first place winner will receive two tickets to the event, two goody bags plus an overnight stay at Holiday Inn Norwich City. We’ve also got two runners up prizes to give away: a pair of tickets will be given to the second and third place winners.

About the Beer Festival

CAMRA Festival 10013

From Tuesday the 20th to Saturday the 24th of February 2018, the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) will be taking over the magnificent Halls in Norwich with an enormous variety of light, ruby, and dark real ales, foreign beers, ciders and perries.

Once inside (and out the cold), you’ll find yourself inside a cavernous Medieval Hall, temporarily installed with hundreds of local and far-flung ales for you to choose from. The atmosphere is relaxed and electric, and everyone is friends – so it’s easy to take your time, try as many beers as you like and spend the day in the company of good food, good beer, and good people. It’s the ultimate winter warmer and ideal if you’re already missing the buzz of the festive season.

As well as all this, you’ll be able to catch live music, entertainment and food throughout the week, plus  local pubs in the area will also be hosting a number of fringe events during your stay, which include everything from meet the brewer evenings to quiz nights and live music.
