WIN a case of Christmas cheer

City of Stories has talked the lovely people at Woodforde’s Norfolk Ales into sending one lucky winner a mixed case of 12 Woodforde’s beers (550ml) which includes their core favourites; Wherry, Nelson, Nog and Bure gold.

It’s all pure Norfolk and will arrive in time for your Christmas celebrations – hurrah we shout. So if you cannot make it to Norwich for this wonderful annual brewery event the brewery will come to you - well, almost!

Equal parts Christmas market, beer tasting and entertainment, Woodforde’s Christmas Brewery Open Weekend & Christmas Market promises fun and plenty of merriness (there will be beer for consumption, after all!)

Woodfordes Christmas Jugs 600x400

Wooforde’s brewery, located in Woodbastwick (in the heart of the Broads), will throw open its doors on the weekend of Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December. There’ll be beer tastings from their award-winning range – look out for Tinsel Toes and their special NOG-flavoured Christmas puddings – and guided brewery tours (free of charge and can be booked on the day) so visitors can learn more about the brewing process, and gain an insight into how and why they’ve won so many awards!

Woodforde’s have been brewing beer for over 30 years using only the finest ingredients. Their winning streak started in 1990 when they won Camra’s ‘New Breweries Champion Beer of Britain’ for their Wherry Bitter and many more accolades followed, continuing until the present day. They’ve won Champion Beer of Britain awards, EDP Food & Drink Awards and many more over the years, demonstrating their popularity with beer lovers and showing they can continue to impress over and over again with innovative new brews.

Beer lovers will no doubt be in their element, but remember it’s not all about beer! You can find the perfect present as you browse stalls filled with a delicious food and drink from a great range of providers including local favourites Winbirri, Marsh Pig, the Norfolk Sloe Gin Company and Yare Valley Oils, plus many others. Enjoy the sounds of local choirs and pop over to Woodforde’s brewery tap, The Fur and Feather, who’ll be serving up delicious meals (including a hog roast!) and refreshments for anyone who wants to refuel and relax.

Open Saturday 3 December from 9am-5pm and Sunday 4 December from 10am-4pm; free entry.
