With the hugely exciting news that the National Winter Ales Festival will be held in Norwich this year (and the next two!), prepare to be even more excited – because we’ve got 4 exclusive tickets for a group of you to enjoy if you are the lucky winner!

Tickets for the festival can’t actually be bought in advance, with entrance on the door only on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so this is a great way to guarantee you’ll get a pint of the action!

Held here in Norwich this year, in St Andrew’s and Blackfriar’s Halls (the same venue as the annual, and hugely successful, October Norwich Beer Festival), there’ll be hundreds of fantastic beers on offer to sample throughout the five day festival (21 – 25 February) – you might even find a new favourite!

The festival officially kicks off on Wednesday 22 February, with the public opening at 12noon. Get stuck in and enjoy, right here in Norwich, celebrating the fantastic diversity of ale. Of course, Norwich has its own long and triumphant history of beer brewing (find some beer tasting tips here and check out this post for a selection of our favourite pubs around these parts!)

As you sup your pint you’ll be able to enjoy live music and entertainment and hot and cold food will be available if you’re feeling peckish! There’ll also be a fringe festival (18 – 25 February) which will take place at special pub venues nearby, and there you’ll be able to sample a few more festival beers and get a sense of what Norwich’s fantastic pubs have to offer.

We have to, of course, mention the Winter Beer of Britain competition which the Festival will hosting the final of. This takes place the morning of 21 February, with the winners announced that afternoon! This is especially important to CAMRA members as they are invited to a special preview evening, from 5.30 – 10.30pm.

Entrance will depend on the day and time of admission; check here for more details and opening times.

So if that’s whetted your appetite then you’d better enter our competition to win not two, not three, but FOUR tickets, valid on any one day between Wednesday 22 – Saturday 25 February, 12noon – 10.30pm! Simply enter your details on the entry page.

You’ll also receive our fantastic City of Stories e-newsletter which goes out once a week and is packed full of all the best things to do, see, eat, drink and places to stay at in Norwich & Norfolk! The competition closing date is 8 February.
