Hidden delights & surprises at BeWILDerwood

24 July 2016

Witches House at BeWILDerville 600X400

The school holidays have well and truly begun, so – for most people - ideas for family-friendly days out are in high demand. What if we told you we have a place where kids can be kids, and adults... can also be kids!

COMPLETELY UNIQUE

BeWILDerwood is nothing like you'll ever have been to, that we can promise... it's a completely unique park (set in a huge forest) full of magical adventure and quirky characters. Surrounded by the mystical Norfolk Broads (near Wroxham), the park is based on the series of children's stories by Tom Blofeld and offers truly captivating days out.

BeWILDerwood BoggleBoats 600x400

Listen up, everyone: having fun outdoors is BeWILDerwood’s top priority! There are special areas for different ages, catering from little tots to older kids – and, in fact, adults too (because who can resist having a go on slides and in treehouses? No one we’d want to know, anyway!) Every generation can enjoy this day out which combines activity and adventure with a peaceful, scenic woodland setting.

WOODLAND ADVENTURE AREAS, BOAT TRIPS, TREEHOUSES & MORE

Enjoy a boat trip, sandpits, zipwires, a sky maze, enchanting treehouses and slippery slopes; all ideal activities for kids to let out their energy. Hunt out boggy bogs and woodland areas, play in marvellous marshes and awesome structures, get stuck into crafts or sit down for some storytelling.

Lunch is sorted, too; enjoy scrummy food at one of their 3 eateries (the Snack Shack, the Munch Bar and the Cosy Cabin) where the majority of food comes from local farmers, growers and suppliers, or bring along your own food and enjoy it in one of their lovely picnic spots dotted around the park.

JOIN MINTY’S WHIZZY WINDMILL GARDEN PARADE

Over the summer the park’s smallest Crocklebog, called Minty, is putting on a Whizzy Windmill Garden Parade (taking place every day until 4 September), where there’ll be puppet shows, parties, windmills and parades, plus face painting, decorating and the chance to get involved in the parade yourselves! All these super events are included in the ticket price, too.

Even if it’s raining – never fear, pull on your wellies and raincoats; you’ll still have just as much fun! BeWILDerwood is definitely the place to be this summer.

BeWILDerwood is open daily from April-September 10am-5.30pm and during weekends and school holidays in October, February and March; please note that the park is closed November-January.
