Norwich is positively crammed with amazing boutiques, shops and independent retailers, so it can be easy to overlook the city's bustling market when you’re on a shopping mission – even though it's one of the largest and oldest open-air markets in the country!

VINTAGE DRESS UP AND HAIR & BEAUTY TREATS
Start at the top and browse the many vintage clothing stalls the market has to offer; packed full of wonderful pieces, the market’s many stalls are bound to have something that appeals to your own style and favourite era! It's such a great spot for picking up vintage goodies that we included the Market in this blog post all about vintage shopping in Norwich.
No appointment for that haircut? Haven’t booked in to get your brows threaded? No problem. There are some great hair and beauty stalls on Norwich Market which don’t require an appointment, so you can pop in when needs be and walk out looking your best!
GIFTS, GOODS & GET STUFF DONE!
There are plenty of present choices, with beautiful handcrafted items including leather items and books available as well as bags, perfume, makeup, stationery and flowers.
Whether you need a new phone case, your phone fixing or a key cut, there’s a stall for that! The market has stalls filled with household items at great prices, as well as jewellery and watch repairs. It’s also a great place to head to for haberdashery and craft items as well as fabrics, and if you’re also lacking skills with a sewing machine then quality clothes alterations are available. You can even get your ears and nose pierced!
Finish off a great shopping session with some delicious food – and Norwich Market really shines with its food offer! Chinese, fish & chips, burgers, cakes - don't worry, there's plenty to pick from! Vegans (or anyone who fancies a meat-free meal) should definitely head over to Bia Kitchen – a vegan diner with a changing menu of foods. Try their burrito and the famous 'jack bap' - they're both delicious!
Munch on all day breakfasts, jacket potatoes, kebabs, sandwiches and toasties, as well as pies, bacon rolls, burgers, hot dogs and much more! Take a break with a cup of tea or coffee and indulge in an ice cream afterwards. For anyone after gluten-free sweet treats, look no further than Norfolk Kind Food for vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free breads, cakes, biscuits, savouries, fudge AND chocolate!
There's also plenty of spots to pick up tasty produce for later on. Buy fresh fish, fruit and veg (including organic) or cook your own Asian food with staples from Orient Express - in two locations on the Market, it has a huge range of fresh and frozen cuisine from various Asian countries!
Norwich Market is the UK’s largest permanent 6-day-a-week outdoor market and has been sitting in the heart of Norwich for over 700 years. Flanked by City Hall, Guildhall and Norwich Castle, its pretty multicoloured stalls are an iconic sight in the city.
